Guide Right
Guide Right was created in 1922 by Leon W. Stewart and officially introduced at the Twelfth Grand Chapter Meeting of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. After studying the challenges facing Black youth, Stewart and J. Jerome Peters developed a structured guidance program aimed at addressing educational and career underachievement. Guide Right was designed to help high school seniors make informed decisions about careers and higher education while providing scholarship support and exposure to professional opportunities. It became the fraternity’s national service program and continues to promote mentorship, leadership, and academic achievement.
