FOUNDER: Guy L Grant
Founder Guy L. Grant was born on April 9, 1891, in New Albany, Indiana, and was the third of thirteen children. After the death of his father, he assumed responsibility for helping support his family while continuing his education. Grant graduated from Scribner High School in 1909 and earned an A.B. degree in chemistry from Indiana University in 1915. He later earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1920 and practiced dentistry in Indianapolis for more than 50 years. Grant was instrumental in preserving the fraternity’s history and records.
